Sienna's new toy storage shelf

For Xmas we bought Sienna a shelf to store her toys etc... (we figure this is the last year we'll be able to get away with that!! haha). Here are a couple of pics of her helping her Dad put it together (though Mom did MOST of the work) and also playing in the boxes.

Winter storm fun!

We had a big snow storm on Saturday night. Sunday, we had fun playing in it. Sienna didn't much care for getting dressed up in her snowsuit...nor did she really care for the snow itself.

I think it confused her - course it was waist deep on her!!- but once we got her in the sled..she was all smiles....

until she fell out of the sled and face first in the snow, of course.

Xmas pictures taken

We went to Portrait innovations to have our holiday photos taken this year.

Here are a couple of examples.

I wish I could say that Sienna hammed it up this good the whole time - but these took quite a bit of effort and several staff members to get right!

Went to see Santa!

We went to the public library last night to watch Santa read a few books. Sienna kept staring at his beard. She wasn't afraid of him.....more "curious" about him.

We barely made it!! :)

Back from Montreal

These pictures are old - from July - but I haven't had a chance to put them on here anywhere - and don't have any pictures to add from my trip to Montreal. I left on Wed afternoon and got back on Saturday night. I worked almost 50 hours in 4 days! Forest held down the fort (with the help of daycare and a babysitter while he was in class).

First waves and "step"

On Sunday (Dec 2nd), Sienna and I went to Scott and Jackie's house to watch football (and leave Forest alone so he could study) with Jenn and Jeff (and all of the kids). On our way house, Sienna started waving goodbye to everyone! It was very exciting. She now (3 days later) will do it about 50% of the time. You have to "get her arm going" by shaking it up and down. :)

Last night (Dec 4th) I was helping Sienna practice standing alone. I got the idea to move away from her and try to coax her to come over to me. On two separate occasions, she lifted one foot and set it down a little farther away from her. Both times, she seemed a little surprised and unsure of what to do next....so she just sat down. Since she didn't even shift her weight onto the leg that just moved....I don't exactly call that her "first step" - but it's getting close!

I'm headed to Montreal (my first trip...and they just had a snow storm!!). I'll be there tonight (Wed) through Saturday evening. I am going to do a little consulting for CogState - training and study start. I've always wanted to see Montreal - but not in the winter.
